Once your daily travel has been calculated and any Railcard discounts applied, the total fare is collected – usually at the end of the day. Daily capping means you’ll never pay more than £23 per day for journeys within the trial area.  

And if you reach the weekly cap in any week (Monday to Sunday), we’ll continue to log your journeys in the app, but you won’t be charged more than £73 for the entire week’s travel for journeys within the trial area.
